It is our pleasure to announce that the 5th International Workshop on Historical Document Imaging and Processing (HIP’19) will be held in conjunction with ICDAR2019 ( <https://emea01.safelinks.protection.outlook.com/?url=http%3A%2F%2Ficdar2019.org%2F&data=02%7C01%7CC.Clausner%40salford.ac.uk%7Cddf51e7f06f443b71e8608d690f466f7%7C65b52940f4b641bd833d3033ecbcf6e1%7C0%7C0%7C636855776710157102&sdata=VYEsLRLXicc0Q56%2BWxjk5%2FZ0Yc2%2F1uSCR05fJbY%2Bl9I%3D&reserved=0> http://icdar2019.org/), on September 21, 2019 in Sydney, Australia.

The workshop brings together researchers working with historical documents and is intended to be complementary and synergistic to the work in analysis and recognition featured in the main sessions of ICDAR, the premier international forum for researchers and practitioners in the document analysis community.
