Dear all,

We are pleased to share with you all a preservation focused Who's Using
What? Developer Spotlight on the work being done in the PREFORMA Project
<http://www.preforma-project.eu/>.

The aim of the project is to address the challenge of implementing good
quality standardised file formats for preserving data content in the long
term. The main objective is to give memory institutions full control of the
process of the conformity tests of files to be ingested into archives.

On April 7 PREFORMA will be giving a workshop on Open Source innovation and
development within the preservation sector. In this Who's Using What,
EuropeanaTech spoke with two developers, Xavier Tarres and Jérôme Martinez
both of whom will be presenting their development work at the workshop.

You can read the Who's Using What? interviews here
<http://pro.europeana.eu/blogpost/who-s-using-what-preforma-project> and
learn more about the workshop here
<http://opensourceworkshop.preforma-project.eu/>.

Be sure to share your thoughts and let the community know what tools you're
favoring in preservation work.

Warm regards,

greg
