This is a call to the European university libraries interested in
participating in the Call for proposals 1996 under the European
Commission Program "Telematics for Libraries"
The UOC is an active participant of several European programmes
such as Biblink and Listed. During our attendance in the meeting
"Telematics for Libraries Call for Proposals: Information Day"
that took place in Luxembourg January 9th 1997, it was not
possible to establish any contact with other libraries that also
share the same purpose of serving higher distance learning
student and faculty community.
We are interested in knowing about other libraries d4ealing with
the same issues maybe also participants of European programmes or
with the intention of starting cooperations to address the
differents kinds of issues that affect distance learning in order
to begin a relationship with an exchange of ideas and
information.
