The Library of the UNESCO-IHE Institute contributes to the educational and
research activities of academic staff and students by gathering, accessing
and distributing information and scientific literature.
The Library is currently looking for a:
Library Trainee (M/F), fulltime (part-time also possible, no less than
The Trainee is responsible for performing professional duties in one or
more of the following areas: on-line search, circulation, distribution and
utilization of library resources, providing specialized assistance to
students and academic staff.
Other duties include: entering and checking data in the library computer
systems, the reference database and Intranet site, general processing of
library materials and assistance with special projects as needed.
Second or third year student in Information and Library Management (IDM)
Fluency in English and Dutch, both written and verbal
Ability to work with an international user community
Good interpersonal and communications skills
Accuracy and attention to detail
